OUR COMMISION
TO DEVELOP FULLY COMMITTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS
This voted mission statement is based on two important and influential things.
FIRST, Jesus’ ministry example, illustrated fully in each of the New Testament Gospels. Jesus’ ministry methodology was making disciples. “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people.” (Matthew 4:19, NLT) He invited twelve men into a disciple making relationship with Himself. He trained them by having them closely observe everything He did and taught.
SECOND, on Jesus’ command, recorded in Matthew 28:18-20.
“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” (NKJV)
Jesus, the Commander and Chief of the Universe, commanded His faithful disciples to go everywhere and make other disciples of everyone until He returns at the end of time.
The East Pasco Adventist Church desires to be faithful to Jesus and his Word.
